Housing

Students in the Netherlands do not live in hostels, as they do in India. Most students live in houses that are divided into separate rooms that share the toilet, shower and living space. The rooms are large enough for a bed, couch, desk and usually their own sink. Each room is private and has its own lock.

Maastricht University has its own housing agency, Maastricht Housing, to assist students in finding a room. Furnished rooms range from 250 – 350 Euros and are always located close to the city centre (15 min by bicycle max.). Because Maastricht is one of the safest cities in Europe, you will not need to take good and bad neighborhoods into account. These single-person rooms are always part of shared student accommodation houses. You may choose between mixed or only girls accomodation.
